Enter Smarter Strength, for incredible gains
“The best teacher is the one who suggests rather than dogmatizes, and inspires his listener with the wish to teach himself.”
– Edward Bulwer-Lytton
I first read that quote several years ago, and more than ever before I find it relevant. This idea of teaching people to teach themselves speaks to me, it guides me, it drives me.
I have a question for you:
Do you think that right now you are doing
the very best that can be done in order to make
your body fit, strong, and healthy?
Can you see any room for improvement?
Can you imagine what it would be like if you were making 2-5 times faster progress than you are right now? I have no doubt you have experienced periods of time when the gains came easy. Fat was shed, muscle was built, more weight went on the bar…but then it all seemed to slow down.
What if the slow down never happened again?
Most important of all, are you HAPPY with your current results whatever they may be?
For years I was. I thought I was doing the very best that could be done. I believed I was training on the cutting edge, I was following the programs of (who I thought were) the very best trainers in the industry. I had a strong conviction that there was no way it could move faster, and if anything was better I would be doing it.
I had direct access to some of the very top men in my favorite hobby. Perhaps you have heard of some of my old coaches – Pavel Tsatsoline founder of the RKC, Dennis Rogers world famous strongman, Brett Jones corrective exercise expert, and Stanley “Stainless Steel” Pleskun world famous strongman. I was certain I could not have found better men to train me to achieve my goals. Every one of these men has not only accomplished great things for themselves, they have lead others to huge improvement. To be blunt I was not working with dumbies.
In September 2009, I learned I was wrong. While these men are in fact excellent trainers, coaches, and mentors- they were not the best possible candidate to train me. I learned something that completely changed everything.
I was the best possible person to train me!
And you know what? They are not the best possible coaches to you, neither am I. YOU are the best possible candidate. You may not know that or maybe you don’t believe. That will be my challenge, to show you how competent you actually are.
“Believe” is a key statement. The fitness industry has done a wonderful job convincing YOU that you are not qualified to run your body. That YOU don’t know enough or you are not responsible enough to tackle your fitness goals.
Guess what my answer is?
It’s BULLSHIT.
Tell me something, are you currently able to dress yourself? Feed yourself? Are you able to operate a motor vehicle? Can you use a cell phone? Do you have pets? Are you someone’s boss? What about a parent?
Why is it that you can do all of those things, and do them well, but according to the fitness industry you are not qualified to train yourself???
No matter how smart, how educated, or how skilled someone else is, they are still inferior to YOU when the task is run your body. Don’t take that as a call that personal trainers are useless, or that coaching is a waste of time…it is useful but not as useful as knowing how to get what you want for yourself!
My name is Adam Glass, let me be the first to welcome you to Smarter Strength!
For the last few years I have shared a method of training which has completely changed my life and the lives of many other people. The results of this system have brought me to every goal I have set and gave me leverage over health problems my doctors couldn’t solve.
I have taught many others to use this system and as they embraced it similar changes emerged in them. Every day a new person is shown this method of fitness and health. It is a scientific approach which ties together everything that have ever been told and gives them a chainsaw to take to all bad ideas.
Perhaps you have heard of the Gym Movement Protocol?
We started introducing people to Gym Movement in 2009, and from that day thousands of men and women across the globe have learned to take control of their training and smash personal records every single training day.
As exciting as breaking PR’s everyday was, there was much more to learn. The core group of instructors never stopped working on the concepts and applications. Everything was questioned and tested, over and over.
There is a dynamic nature to this system.
It is designed to be improved, there is always an open door for a new idea or approach. While others proclaim “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it” we decided that we had not reached the top. The ideas were torn apart and put back together, challenged, and examined in great detail by the ones leading from the very front.
That is what I do.
Every single day has served as my next chance to test and retest new ideas, strategies, and applications.
Not only do I continuously test and retest these concepts and applications, I also teach them. I can say with great certainty I have taught this information better at every single iteration.
My previous classes were met with incredible results from the students who stepped out and applied themselves, and yet what I have to offer now is even sharper.
The next iteration is here, right now.
I want to be your teacher.
I want to teach you a new method of fitness and training – something unlike anything else on the planet. Those of you who know what I do know that I am experiencing results which are very different than other people who play my sport. Everything I do is tested on the platform, often. I do not say this method is superior because of how it feels, or because of how it is packaged. I say it based on my incredible progress and the world records I have set and continue to set. I’m not the only one enjoying the fantastic results either, the word is spreading and those who are willing to put it to the test are achieving greater results than ever before.
“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.”
– John F. Kennedy
I would like to share a few of my personal beliefs with you:
- I believe YOU possess the capacity to do amazing things with your body, provided you are WILLING to be the one to make them happen.
- I believe YOU are the most capable, most qualified, and ultimately most responsible person you will ever meet to run YOUR BODY.
- I believe it is my responsibility as a teacher and as a coach to teach you HOW to think, not to teach you WHAT to think. I believe the person who understands how to think will be very capable of deciding on their own what to think.
- I believe by educating you right now, I am literally saving you YEARS of stagnation and slow progress.
- I believe I can teach you the absolute SAFEST, most SUSTAINABLE, most RELIABLE training system ever discovered, a system unlike anything else in the world.
Tell me if this sounds like something you are interested in….
- Doing better every single workout, in every single movement. By better, I mean lifting more weight, doing more reps, and working faster, and doing it all easier than you ever have before.
- Being able to progress on your goal movements as often as you wish, to include every single day! As an example- I pinch lift every day. In fact I am able to pinch lift typically 4-6 types of pinches in excesses of 100′s of reps every single day. Without injury, without strain, without soreness.
- Adding upwards of 8 lbs of fat free mass in the next 30 days.
- Losing anywhere from 1 to 5 inches off your waist line in the next 30 days.
- Reducing your body fat mass anywhere from 2 to 5 pounds in the next 30 days.
- Adding up to 100 lbs to your barbell deadlift in the next 180 days
- Adding well over 100 lbs to your back squat in the next 180 days
- Adding at least 30 lbs to your bench press in the next 50 days
- Resolving aches and pains, maybe even for injures you have had for years
- Knowing how to train your strength and conditioning for your sport better than ever before
- Experiencing the incredible compounding interest of getting better at getting better!
This is actually just the averages of my clients I see day to day at my gym Movement Minneapolis. I have had distance clients who exceeded these numbers by truly unbelievable jumps.
You see, the problem is we don’t even know how good we can be!
Most fitness education systems are centered on bad starting points, scientific dead ends, and absurd dogmatic stances concerning the human body. It’s not wonder so many people are frustrated, everyone is telling you how you need to listen to them, shut your mouth, and do as they say. The rest of the industry is always right, they are better than you or I, and they have the piece of paper to prove it…but not the RESULTS!
My problem with a lot of the so called leaders of the fitness industry is their personal results down right suck. If they knew how to properly train, wouldn’t you expect them to have outstanding results for themselves?
I am not a leader of the fitness industry. I am competitive athlete and trainer. You can see very plainly how much I know just by looking at my contest results. I compete in a sport where my ability to train and progress is tested right on the platform.
In one year, I have went from not even being in the top 50 pinch lifters in the world to being #9. I added over 75 lbs to my two hand pinch, most men have added less than 15 lbs in one year.
In one year, I went from being hit and miss closing a #3 COC to mashing the #3.5 for reps. I have climbed the famous Mash Monster Ladder becoming the 12th man to close the MM4.
I currently own official world records for the 105 kg class in the Two hand Pinch lift, one hand pinch lift, 2″ vertical bar deadlift as well as the half penny pinch lift. Additionally I have the USAWA records for the Dinnie Stone lift, two hand pinch lift, and vertical bar lift. This is what I did for myself in my sport. (I have additional unofficial strength feats that NO ONE has ever done before or has done since.)
I also added over 22 lbs of lean mass to my frame while cutting my body fat percentage in half. This is all documented right here on my website, feel free to look around.
What have I done for others?
Josh lost over 40 lbs of body fat, increased his deadlift by over 100 lbs, and went from 1 chin up to sets of 15. THIS CAN BE YOU
How about a simple statement of averages: my average client has lost over 25 lbs of body fat in 16 weeks, has added over 50 lbs to their deadlift, and increases their shoulder measurement by 3.5″.
How is this possible? It’s rather easy: I educate them on how they can best train themselves. I have a simple agenda. As soon as you hire me, I work as quickly as I can to make myself obsolete. My goal is to be the last personal trainer anyone ever hires. My goal is to be the last coach you ever work with.
Crazy? maybe.
Stupid? maybe.
Effective? Absolutely, without question!
“But I already know about the Gym Movement Protocol, what can you teach me now?”
I have invested a lot of time and work into parsing and improving the protocol.
In fact, the system has evolved so much I can honestly say it is very different than the information I first presented back in Oct 2009.
We are busy. The Movement Minneapolis is working with clients every single day perfecting the application of the protocol. New discoveries have been made, which have dramatically accelerated the curve on how much faster we have been able to achieve personal records, cut fat, and add muscle.
Once again, if you follow my training with any degree of attention you will notice my progress is way faster now a days than it was even 9 months ago. Many of these concepts and applications were unveiled at the 2011 Smarter Strength workshop, and even very seasoned Gym Movement users such as Mike T Nelson (a true scholar of biomechanics) and Logan Christopher told me I caught them completely off guard.
Since then I went even further. I am my own toughest critic. I tore apart every lesson, I threw some things away. back and forth, over and over. This is what is now here. Mastery is all about reduction.
So here is the deal:
I am teaching a 4 week E-Course on Smarter Strength.
In this 4 week course, I will teach you:
- How to lose fat safely and keep it off forever
- How to add lean mass
- How to program any goal to repeatable, sustainable results
- How to integrate any tool in to your program
- How to smash your best performances daily
- Why nearly everything you have heard before is limited to specific context and how to connect everything you know for maximum results
- How to avoid the wasted years drifting from program to program and instead make continuous gains
- How to build a program that gets you the results you deserve while honoring your scheduling commitments and limited time constraints
- How to never get hurt again in the gym and how to resolve aches and pains
- How to achieve maximum performance on any game day
- How to align your goal psychology to your biological limitation & potential for maximum satisfaction and achievement
- How to adapt an eating plan that fits with your life style, economic condition, and desired goals to improve health, body composition, and performance.
- How to better resolve your daily stresses while eliminating fatigue and worry
- All of this and much more will be covered over the series of videos
The course will be taught using video lessons, conference calls, and emails. In total you will have over 12hours of content, all of which will have immediate application to your fitness program from day 1. You will have full access to the material after the course, allowing you to return as often as possible to get all of the fine points. At the end you will know how to formulate a game plan to get EXACTLY where you want to go, no matter how far away it seems to be.
All lessons will be recorded and stored digitally, so your personal schedule will not be a factor. There is plenty of time between lessons to allow you stay on top of all required information and home work. Oh yes, there will be homework. Repetition is the mother of teaching, you will be applying this information immediately. You will be taught on day one how to get the best workout of the year. Your very next workout will be just that- incredible.

What do other people from the 2012 Smarter Strength Class have to say about the course?
“Not new to the fitness world, and a big time follower of Adam through
his unending abilities in feats of strength, I quickly purchased and
became a huge fan of the Grip & Rip series and had made some progress,
but over time, by doing the opposite, and not listening to my body’s
feedback I fell into a depressing state of overtraining.
Shortly thereafter I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease that
severely affected the joints of my knees, ankles, and feet. To say I
was in pain was an understatement. Right about at this point Adam
came out with the Smarter Strength E-Course.
At first, I thought I knew all of this through the above mentioned
DVD, but soon humbled myself by looking at my current state and then
questioning why and how was Adam and his clients able to continue to
make effortless progress and still continue to reach PRs and decrease
pain in their bodies over all this time?…so I went for it.
Hands down, the introductory weeks to include the videos and phone
calls were worth the price of the course alone. Over the last three
months, not only have I gained 6 lbs. of total bodyweight while only
increasing bodyfat percentage by 0.2% (yes, that is 0.2%) I have also
continued to PR everyday (seriously, whether it’s more weight on the
bar, more reps in less time, more reps per set, more speed, more ease
of movement,etc.). My pains from overtraining are non-existent and
the best part is I look forward to training everyday and am learning
to ask more questions.
Adam put it best in the beginning of the course when he quoted Kenneth
Jay who stated something along the lines of “if you took an object to
depict all the potential knowledge that could be learned about the
human body, for instance, a football field, that our actual knowledge
of the body would be comparable to the size of a postal stamp placed
somewhere within the field”.
Ask more questions. Why are you doing what you are doing? Adam is
one who walks the talk and uses the program that he teaches and the
results show. He is one of the most dedicated coaches and teachers I
have had the pleasure of learning from. If you pay for his course,
your questions and what you learn are his top priority, no doubt about
it. When you are done with the cookie-cutter workouts that are
getting you no where, or when you are done constantly hitting
plateaus, then this course is invaluable to you, but you must be
willing to change and ask questions.” Jon C
“Adam, I want to thank you for your delivery of a great course. It’s been a journey of discovery from day one up to this very last moment. Please say thanks for me to Frankie and Mike. Their interventions were informative and intelligent. I’ve taken all this new knowledge in waves and, of course, being new to the philosophy and practice of the Gym Movement, I’ll have to process and fully experience its different parts and meanings. But of one thing I’m already convinced: what you’ve given us is truly life changing! I’ll be in contact.” – Nelson
“Adam, When I first signed up to take this course I didn’t really know what to expect. I had purchased the Gym Movement & Grip n Rip DVD’s in the past and tried training this way according to my understanding of the DVD’s. I wasn’t completely sold. When this course came out I signed up because I wanted to give it another chance. I felt that maybe I was missing something. That was an understatement! This course delivered BIG TIME! You did an excellent job of explaining everything, and, if there was something that I didn’t understand in the videos, I was able to get my answers from either the conference calls or posting on the site. I just want to thank you. I learned so much. I am completely sold now, and, excited and looking forward to where this will take me.” -John G
“Adam, I’ve been your student last year but I have to say this course more and more things “clicked”. I understand so much more now. All information changed my view and opinion not about training and life in gym but about life in general.
I need to recover from all changes that it has been done to my knowledge (I need to sell half of my library now
, it was truly life-changing. I’m now in era of bodyweight training, it just feels better for my to work on bodyweight stuff and I’m getting better and better from day to day (literally). So #preveryday and thanks !” – Petr
“It has turned everything i thought i knew upside down! This course with Adams help has given me ranges of motion in my hips i have not had in years. The format is great work at your own pace, the weekly calls really help put it all together! The best tool to use to be the best you can be!” – Matt B
“So for the obligatory part of the testimonial, I will note that my bodyfat percentage has gone down about 3 percent, and I have gained roughly two lbs of muscle while losing five lbs of fat mass (measurements based on the June 23 shortly after I started the course til August 18th). Smarter Strength, however, goes deeper than scale numbers for me. For most of the year, I had been rehabbing an injury that happened in February. Via the gym movement protocol, my progress was greater than anything else I could have done regarding that mishap, but smarter strength presented me more options to test out, which led to quicker pain resolution. And for any sane person, this should be more valuable than a training metric. The important note is that Adam does not say, “do this and this will happen.” He is not arrogant in that way, but he presents a set of scientific observations and says, “we have observed this, can you find a way to make it work for you?” Therein lies the lesson you will take with you for your ongoing years–the ability to fish and not to eat something someone else throws at you. It would not be a stretch to say this course saved me a lot of time in getting better.” – Peter B
“It’s funny that the more you learn, the more you realize there is to learn. I studied exercise science in school, have an extensive library on the subject, and am even certified as a personal trainer. When I first heard about Adam’s Smarter Strength course, I was concerned that I may not get as much out of it as most. I’m happy to say that I was wrong.
The course kicks off with a variety of criteria to monitor your progress and goal setting. This alone actually did a lot for me. It’s one of those things that will make as much of a difference outside of the gym as it does inside. The idea of tracking the various metrics to see actually measure the impact of an action instead of going by feel is one of those “game changers” that everyone seems to promise.
As I went through the course, I found that I had spent way more for way less over the years and have since found my progress accelerating with every tweak I make to my training. This is one of those courses I wish I had seen ten years ago. There’s no telling where I would be right now.
If you’re considering getting this course, I can honestly say it’s the best thing you can do for your training. It is accepting nothing less than mediocrity to do otherwise.” – Jacob E

Hi,
I am interested in the course; just wondering if and when there will be a 2013 update, and if any potential revisions will be comped to existing members?
Thanks,
Marc
Hello Marc
Yes, there will be a 2013 course, I have already made the changes on what will be different in my outline (all in the works this month actually)
A discounted price will be offered to all SS class members from 2011 and 2012. For example, the people who enrolled in 2011 got 2012 at a massive discount, and both classes will be offered the same thing again this next go around.
The advantage of you getting 2012 NOW is you can get all 10 weeks of the course, and then get the next years course at a sharply reduced price. Email me if you have further questions adamtglass@yahoo.com
