I often see posts on facebook and twitter bashing the use of lifting straps. Maybe I need to update 10 things for your gym to 11 things to clear up the confusion.
A week ago I was having a conversation about the topic and a few people told me they believe lifting straps are useless. That is a strong word. Then the follow on was if someone was to use lifting straps they will have weak hands.

My final thought on the topic – like all tools, the limit is typically your creativity and understanding of what you wish to accomplish.
