International Pinch/Pull Contest, this weekend!

This weekend will be the first international Pinch/Pull contest, a virtual grip strength contest.

This is a sanctioned three event contest testing the maximum lifting strength of the fingers and thumb. It features a some of the best grip athletes in the world coming together as well as brand new and novice lifters for fun and fellowship.

Events

The Two Hand Pinch Lift on the European Apparatus

Two hand pinch on the standard European Pinch Apparatus, 4 attempts, rising bar. All standard rules will be applied. Promoter will determine order for starting width and progression.

Double Overhand Axle deadlift, 4 attempts, rising bar. All standard grip contest rules apply. All promoters will use the Ironmind Axle for the contest.

Griptopz Half Penny lift, 4 attempts, rising bar. This lift will be done with the key grip only, no other grips are allowed.

Scoring will be done using the NAGSA scoring system. We will have two classes, Men’s open and Women’s open.

All promoters are to send me their scores as soon as their contest is wrapped up. I will stack scores and post them here and on World of Grip and Gripboard. Please email to AdamTGlass@yahoo.com

At the conclusion, two score sheets will be posted. One will be the global sheet with all contestants ranked in order, the second will be local venue’s. It is the same format as World’s Strongest Hands.

International weight classes will be used for records purposes, all contestants will be weighed before the contest.

There are no entry fee’s, however individual venues may require a day pass depending on the location and facility. Please contact your local promoter for details.

- Europinch set up w/vertical height standard
- Ironmind Apollon’s axle
- World of Grip Half Penny apparatus
- All weights used measured and certified
- Point calibrated scale for weighing contestants

Last call for promoters will be Thursday no later then noon central standard time.
