“So for the obligatory part of the testimonial, I will note that my bodyfat percentage has gone down about 3 percent, and I have gained roughly two lbs of muscle while losing five lbs of fat mass (measurements based on the June 23 shortly after I started the course til August 18th). Smarter Strength, however, goes deeper than scale numbers for me. For most of the year, I had been rehabbing an injury that happened in February. Via the gym movement protocol, my progress was greater than anything else I could have done regarding that mishap, but smarter strength presented me more options to test out, which led to quicker pain resolution. And for any sane person, this should be more valuable than a training metric. “It’s funny that the more you learn, the more you realize there is to learn. I studied exercise science in school, have an extensive library on the subject, and am even certified as a personal trainer. When I first heard about Adam’s Smarter Strength course, I was concerned that I may not get as much out of it as most. I’m happy to say that I was wrong.
The course kicks off with a variety of criteria to monitor your progress and goal setting. This alone actually did a lot for me. It’s one of those things that will make as much of a difference outside of the gym as it does inside. The idea of tracking the various metrics to see actually measure the impact of an action instead of going by feel is one of those “game changers” that everyone seems to promise.
As I went through the course, I found that I had spent way more for way less over the years and have since found my progress accelerating with every tweak I make to my training. This is one of those courses I wish I had seen ten years ago. There’s no telling where I would be right now.
