The 3rd installment of the Grip Decathlon will be happening Saturday 21 April 2012.
What is a Grip Decathlon? It is a 10 event lifting competition designed to test all around hand and wrist strength, as well as endurance and spirit.
This years decathlon will feature a huge change to the contest format…I am allowing YOU, the competitor to select from the following list
CRUSH
- Crush Grip with calibrated torsion spring grippers from parallel set
- Crush Grip with calibrated torsion spring grippers from 20 mm set block
- Crush Grip with calibrated torsion spring grippers from 30 mm set block
- Crush Grip with calibrated torsion spring grippers from credit card set
- Crush grip using the World of Grip Vulcan Hand gripper from a parallel set
- Crush grip using the World of Grip Vulcan Hand gripper with a 20mm set block
- Crush grip using the World of Grip Vulcan Hand gripper with a 30mm set block
- Crush grip using the World of Grip Vulcan Hand gripper with a credit card set
- Crush Grip, multiple grippers for reps (like Decathlon #2)
- Crush Grip, Same gripper for reps (Vote either TSG or VHG)

Medley formats
- Definitely will be at least one strength medley, but I am also open to other medley formats. See the set up for the Frostbite challenge as an example.

Other information:
This contest will feature 3 weight classes- 82.5 kg, 100 kg, and open. Provided at least 3 women sign up I will feature a women’s class.
Location will be 2075 East Center Circle, Plymouth MN 55441
Contest start time will be 1100 hrs. For a ten event contest we will likely go until 2 PM.

How come nobody likes the Hub lift?
It was such a classic grip feat a few years ago!
I think it has to be modern plate design. No more hubs, people just don’t get it
Well, I don’t like it because I’m not very good at it.
You’re not bad at it considering how few practices you have had. its a challenging lift for some. Its my weakness in the pinch selection
