I’m like some kind of god damn JV cheerleader.
This is the first time I have been able to practice bridging two days in a row. The last few weeks I have been so sore through out the ribs and abs that bridging the day after practice was a no go. Today all reps felt good.
I busted my ass about 30 times tonight working out the kinks on a free standing handstand. Didn’t get it, but did discover I can do cartwheels, or something that looks to me like a cartwheel.
One hand axle lift was a 4 lbs improvement on right, 14 lbs improvement left. Ripping the inch off the floor daily for a few months will do that for you I suppose.
Pinching was good tonight. Stayed light but had many quality reps.
I did a set with the Triple Band Atomgripz with a block right handed and got a 3 rep improvement from the last time I was chasing this list. A few interesting bullets- #1 I have not been doing much with a gripper in 12 weeks. #2 this is better then when I was specifically trying for it. #3 All reps pain-free and it tested good.

I would win that one with authority
the spider walking bridge gives you instant street cred so awsome great work
Nice work, very inspiring to see you accepting challenges that seems a bit outside your normal work.
A few suggestions.
When doing the handstand try to do it at the length of your lower leg away from the wall, then put one leg straight up, another bend and touching the wall. Its a good way to find the feeling of the free standing handstand balance.
Keep the knees together and the feet together i you kick off from the wall, in that way your legs becom just one “unit” that you have to control while balancing.
While balancing at the wall also try (if your wristmobility permits) to put your weight into your knuckles, and then squeese the fingers into the floor to gain balance. With your strong fingers i think this could work well for you.
I think you might have noticed this yourself, but just in case, when doing cartwheels to your right lift the left leg first.
Also, if you want a challenge in your “bridge pushup” try doing it with one leg straight, pointing to the sky at top position and just touching the ground at bottom position.
Theres so much fun with this kind of stuff.
Finally, thanks for a lot of good reads here on your page, im glad i finally could contribute with something and i hope it was of use to you.
thanks for the tips. While I will always be a lifter at heart, I really have been enjoying myself with the body weight/gymnastic type movements. Its rewarding because I have so much room for improvement and the gains are coming really fast. it has certainly taught me to better appreciate different athletes and the types of things they do with their bodies.
