25 Dec 2011, big improvement to back bridging progressions

by adam on December 26, 2011

Plus, closed a #3 again. My 158 lbs (harder one) for two reps. Both tested really good and was completely pain free.

Looking good man. You’ve improved tremendously… You move so much more smoothly.

It’d be nice to see a post on how your Met Flex has been improving.

Also, how’d you hurt your hand?

adam December 26, 2011 at 10:13 pm

I will do one on it.

Its hard to pin it down, because ligament injury doesn’t hurt the same way other tissues do. i believe I actually damaged the tissue when that Vulcan snapped on the 3rd of Oct. It became noticeably painful 4 days later. then I had to bust up a few fools at the bar while bouncing and the capitate swollen up something fierce.

With that said, the biggest impact was torsion spring grippers. for 5 weeks I couldnt set or close a COC trainer. Now after nearly 12 weeks I can close a 3 again. I predict I will return and surpass my best closes within 8 more weeks. I will be taking it easy. I partially ruptured the ligament, but did not evulse it. If it completely detaches I will need surgery and I will be fucked. So I am playing it smooth and rehabbing it. I do not believe there is anyone who is close to in my understanding of how to fix a fucked up hand in the state of MN, so I am my best care taker.

I’m sorry to hear that, ligament injuries are tricky and heal so slowly.

I look forward to hearing about your experience with met flex. Pers0nally, my digestive problems have improved greatly. I’m also close to a 150lbs finally…

Slower to heal yes, tricky no. it is a game of angles, that is all.

my experience is now nearly 2 years with it, and a lot of revisions and testing with various populations. What specific details are you curious to hear about?

just hearing about the improvements and the experience of someone whose done it more long term. Met Flex for me has worked well, but it does take some specific focus. I’d also like to hear what drinks and food surprisingly worked well and what didn’t.

Mike I started back with them about 4-5 weeks ago. I think I will be able to get to flips and gymnastic style stuff in the coming months. When you come out I will show you some progressions which will help out a lot for your hip.
