Moves 1 kg ahead of David Horne, now in the #2 spot behind Nick’s 170 kg lift. I got lift on 372 twice, but it was not to the legal height.
I also did a few sets of higher reps, here was a set with 300 lbs. It makes you really tired.
Are you practicing? The Bear Hug Deadlift will be one of the events for the 25 Feb 2011 Frostbite Grip Challenge. I am also proud to announce the trophies will be hand crafted by world renowned metal artist Rollin Marquette.

Excellent work Adam! Whooo ha!
I am searching for a wrench to get a collar off one of my old bars very soon so I can start testing out some bear hug DLs. I appreciate the tips on the lift that last time I was out at the Movement. I went from not even breaking 220 off the floor to a full lift with a few simple cues. Thanks!!
rock on

Strong stuff, Adam.
I am loving this lift…got 225lbs up today for a triple.
362lbs? Christ, man!
You know I am practicing.
I also just got my hands on a 2 foot long piece of 8″ hot rolled SOLID round stock.
It weighs 204 lbs. and will someday be an inch-style dumbell. For now we are doing something I call the “Baby Bearhug” with it. It is really hard and uses ALOT more hand/biceps than the conventional Bearhug. I can’t quite get it to my knees yet, I think it would be a killer lift in the medley. I also fabricated some loadable 3″ dumbells if you want an extra set for the Frostbite Challenge. They aren’t too pretty, but I needed something to train the Farmer’s hold with. Great idea by the way, I never would have made 3″ dumbells otherwise, but they hit the hands in a good way. They also make you feel very helpless!
Nice lifts Adam, your videos definitely inspire.
Dustin that sounds pretty awesome. Yes to both. if you want to lug it out here for the medley that will be an awesome addition, and an extra pair of 3″ bells will help the contest move along for the medley #2
