Solid stuff as always! How many pull ups can yo do on the kettlebell? I tried it last night and it’s one fun variation!

This one really depends on hand spacing. My typical set is middle finger tips touching. if I go wider it goes down to singles and doubles as you must put a ton of inside pressure on the bell and it wears my elbows down fast. if I allow my fingers to slightly interlock then sets of 8-10

I also do them with finger tips touching – check out my blog for some vids! I’ve started using lifting straps for pull ups a while ago and it’s great for my grip.

Cool stuff. If I wrapped a thick sponge on the bar , would that work my grip? I got the idea from a powerlifter at work. Thanks!

That’s old school. If you look back at pics from the 60′s/70′s body builders a lot of them used the same method to build up their hand strength. Works and is useful as your fingers penetrate the material for the crush.

Another method to progress with would be using towels. A medium sized towel wrapped around the bar would be 1.75-2 ” of padding. Two towels around the bar would be very very hard to work with, especially for multiple reps.

Thanks! I’ll try it!
