Additional comments

many of you know how exhausted you feel after a standard 4 / 5 event contest, can you imagine how these men and women felt going 10 events, with 3 of them being endurance events?

I am very proud of everyone who came out to compete.

Great event Adam! There was a ton of Grip in a short amount of time. A very nice flow and super fun time! Thanks for hosting.

Super fun contest.

Congrats to Ben with the win, and especially to Dustin W for an impressive performance. I thought I was competing with Ryan Maier, and the whole time Dustin was kicking my ass in most of the events.

Thanks to TheMovementMinneapolis for the great event. I learned A TON about how grip competitions are set up and some strategy for next time.
Thanks to Ryan and StrongerGrip for the T’s and prizes!
David, I really appreciate your comments as you are someone I have looked up to as a strength athlete and movement coach/advocate for a couple years now. It was great to compete with you and I look forward to our next meeting. Every time I hang out with you guys I feel like I move to a higher level in my training. Already tonight I hit a triple with my competition axle DL and a triple at over 2x BW double overhand on a standard BB.
Seriously top notch group of individuals who showed up, the only down side is that we have to wait until March for the next contest!
The decathlon is a great setup because it displays one’s endurance in grip, but also magnifies one’s weaknesses.

I’m very glad I finally got to attend one of the Minnesota grip contests! Loved the camaraderie among all the competitors. Adam’s gym is superb and had everything necessary to build great strength and fitness.

Was impressed with everyone there for various reasons. Some because they had never done that type of contest before – yet they were jumping in with both feet. Others because their grip strength performances even in the last 6 months are shooting up – Ryan Pitts and Matt Cannon come to mind.

I will do a write-up sometime this month detailing my thoughts and observations on the entire contest. Including my first impressions of everyone I met that day at the contest.

Great job to everyone that competed!

Wish Adam had been able to compete though. He won’t mention it…but I have no doubt he would’ve taken the entire contest even injured. That’s no joke!

Thanks again for hosting the competition Adam!!

Also huge thanks to everyone that showed up to compete, as it was brand new for many!

Great to everyone there!

Not my best competition, since I was not as prepared as normal (had to prioritize some other things), but I still got a couple PRs. Bummer that I had to head out early, but that is life and not too many people make it to their 98th b’day so it something to be celebrated! Just happened to be on the same day and time.

Rock on
