Lesson learned – go big or stay on the straight and narrow…

If you’re looking around you will see this is happening all over.  What is going on with this government?

If you steal for the banks; attaboy! If you get caught; slap on the wrist or a pat on the ass. If you try to steal from the banks; fuck you! If you get caught; the book is thrown at you or the book is just thrown aside for the discretion of the accuser.

When the President does it, that means it is not illegal. – Richard Nixon, 1977 A.D.

I suppose if I had lost the war, I would have been tried as a war criminal. Fortunately, we were on the winning side. – Gen. Curtis LeMay, late 1940s A.D.

I spent 33 years and four months in active military service, and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism…Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents. – Gen. Smedley Butler, War is a Racket, 1935 A.D.

Indeed, that was an apt and true reply which was given to Alexander the Great by a pirate who had been seized. For when that king had asked the man what he meant by keeping hostile possession of the sea, he answered with bold pride, “What do you mean by seizing the whole earth? Because I do it with a petty ship, I am called a robber, while you who does it with a great fleet are styled emperor.” – Augustine, On the City of God Against the Pagans, early 5th century A.D.

We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to high office. – Aesop, c. 600 B.C.

The problem isn’t new.

We see this crap all the time. Government is the problem, not the solution.

Voluntaryists are advocates of non-political, non-violent strategies to achieve a free society. We reject electoral politics, in theory and in practice, as incompatible with libertarian principles. Governments must cloak their actions in an aura of moral legitimacy in order to sustain their power, and political methods invariably strengthen that legitimacy. Voluntaryists seek instead to delegitimize the State through education, and we advocate withdrawal of the cooperation and tacit consent on which State power ultimately depends.

Clearly there is more going on in these two examples. 40 months for a white man who stole 3B and 15years for a black man who stole and returned $100! Paul Allen’s face not plastered everywhere while the mug shot for Roy Brown is…

It’s not just about government, it’s also about Race & Class in America.
