The Tactical Strength Challenge or TSC is a global fitness event occurring twice a year. It started in the kettlebell community and has caught on with the Cross Fit community over the last 6 years. The contest is FREE FOR ALL, and ALL ARE WELCOME to come compete at Movement Minneapolis for fun and fitness fellowship.

The contest features three events designed to test different aspects of your strength and fitness.

Deadlift for maximum weight, 3 attempts. Contestants can use either a conventional or sumo deadlifting stance. The objective of the event is to lift the bar off the floor to a standing position with arms straight. Hitching the deadlift is specifically forbidden. A lifting belt maybe used, all other forms of support gear is specifically forbidden.

Pull ups for maximum reps in a single hang, 1 attempt. Contestants will do a full pull up from a dead hang, bringing their head over the bar. Contestants must touch their throat to the bar at the top of the rep and return to a full dead hang before beginning the next rep. Kipping or using the legs to swing is specifically forbidden by traditional TSC rules.

A legal repetition is considered bringing the bell from arms length below the belt to arms length overhead, and pausing at the top for a count with a straight arm. Contestants may switch hands at will, may set the bell down at any point, and may pause to rest with the bell either over head or at arms length.
