- Griptopz Half Penny, 4 attempts
- Griptopz Stub, 4 attempts
Registration is 15 dollars for the event. Please bring cash or Paypal me the money by the morning of the contest.
Warm ups, weigh in, and registration will begin at 1000 AM at Movement Minneapolis, 2075 East Center Circle Plymouth MN 55441. All competitors must be in place no later than 1040 for rules briefing and opening weight selection for all 4 events.
There will be three classes for this international competition, Men’s open, men’s 82.5 kg class, and women’s open. Please note you must lift in open class if you were in open class last leg, even if you make weight on Saturday. For more specific questions on classes please visit David Horne’s World of Grip website.
The Minneapolis Location will have medals for the top lifters in each class.
Scores will be computed and stacked against all other contest locations. You will be ranked and placed for both this leg and for the continuing accumulating points for the series.
Please bring snacks and extra beverages you enjoy. I will provide bottled water to each competitor. I recommend you bring more too, the unit is not air conditioned and it maybe hot.
In the first leg of the series the Minneapolis location had two world records broken, and 14 competitors. I would like to see more for this next go. There are currently 88 people in the series, and will likely pick up between 15 to 20 more in this second leg.

I don’t believe I’ve seen any video with close ups of the Griptopz Half Penny lift. Is this a fairly new event?
The apparatus was put out at the end of last year, used first for The British Strongest Hands series and now for this series
Damn. What a blind spot for me. I totally missed this. I have the 15″ Olympic Plate Loading Pin from IronMind. I’m assuming it fits that right (I just haven’t seen any videos where the actual Grptopz are installed)?
