BAD ASS Dave! What is your traditional and sumo DL at now?

david June 17, 2011 at 8:28 pm

Best conventional is at 575. Sumo I have never pulled a true max. I haven’t pulled a new max in over a month so next week that could change.

Nigel June 17, 2011 at 7:50 pm

Okay… This is pretty ridiculous! How can I learn to make this sort of progress?

Grab Grip & Rip 2.1 before it is retired.

Most excellent David!! Nice pull.

Tim June 18, 2011 at 2:01 pm

That’s a shit load of weight David! That registers a 10 on the Awesome Meter!
Is the Jefferson version harder or easier than conventional or sumo for you?

david June 18, 2011 at 6:03 pm

I guess easier. Unless I can pull 605 conventional this week.

Highly probable

Is the jefferson deadlift allowed in competitions?

adam July 1, 2011 at 8:09 pm

Marc, yes for the IAWA and USAWA. Dave will compete to break the world record soon.

Steve Thompson June 18, 2011 at 2:01 pm

Good job Dave, however, I think you are a freak of nature, but in a good way.

david June 18, 2011 at 6:03 pm

Probably

Brad Johnson June 18, 2011 at 7:30 pm

Dave, very impressive. How does this type of pull feel? It seems a bit easier than a standard dead lift, judging from the weight, I’ll give this one a try as dead lifts haven’t tested well recently (mountain biking injury, still tuning up).

david June 18, 2011 at 10:55 pm

As you can probably expect my answer to be..it doesn’t feel like anything.

It is “easier” or probably more precisely better leverage and a shorter pull.

Steve Meidinger June 19, 2011 at 2:38 pm

Super strong again, David.

Upon investigating, I am noticing a disturbing lack of PR’s coming from devotees of other fitness camps.

Yet, I see them here day after day after day.

At this point it is getting preposterous…what is everyone else waiting for?

david June 20, 2011 at 12:29 pm

Thanks Steve. I agree on all fronts. “Stupid not to”, right?

Dan June 23, 2011 at 4:23 pm

Dave, your form is atrocious. You will eventually pay the piper for moving so poorly. I would not consider you to be a very smart person

adam June 23, 2011 at 6:09 pm

it would be helpful for you to demonstrate a triple body deadlift so that Dave could learn from your example, can you post one here this week?

Brad Johnson June 24, 2011 at 10:44 am

Somebody’s trollin

adam June 24, 2011 at 1:58 pm
