This calender year I have added 36 lbs to my two hand pinch. This is a cornerstone of both productive grip training and a standardize blue ribbon event for Grip Sport
This lift was from 25 April 2011. My best competition lift in Jan at Metro Flex III was 211 was 211.
Yesterday I also got a partial lift on 235, and I predict I will be able to get full reps on 240 by the end of May.
Four things you can do right now to get more pinch strength
-Work more widths more often
-Work with multiple textured surfaces
-Change the order of when you pinch.
-Increased the number of pinching movements you do.
Need some ideas? Industrial Strength Grip Vol 1 covers a number of pinch drills you can use right now without having to pick up more equipment. More drills for you, no matter where you train.
Are you looking to test your grip strength? The Movement Minneapolis Grip Decathlon is happening 14 May 2011, be here for it.

Adam-I like your idea of using a variety of pinch widths, surfaces etc. My question is how often do you hit the actual 2hp lift during a typical week? Is hitting this lift 1xwk fine if you are pinching multiple times during the week on other surfaces/textures or do you recomend to hit the target lift a little more often. Its tough to keep my skin from tearing on a Euro setup so 1xwk is tempting and I would hit pinch in other ways during the week. Great article!
Also I know you like high volume for gripper work, do you also do a higher volume on pinch training? There is almost no information out there on how to train the 2hp and/or 1hp so any advice on this would be cool!
Nice, man.
