Minneapolis boot camp is going to send you to Cancun

by adam on December 10, 2010

Heard about this? The Movement Minneapolis Beach Body Challenge is beginning soon, and the grand prize in both Male and Female categories is a trip to Cancun on DDNs dime.

Put in the work and this view can be yours this March

Your gym is offering a  gift card to Best Buy,  that is fucking lame by comparison.

If you are in Minneapolis you need to get over to the best fat loss boot camp in the Twin Cities.

Saturday morning I am teaching a two hour class on biomech and nutrition, you will not learn anything more valuable this weekend. Be there.

Stimulating reading as usual.
(Though I’m not sure how one reconciles the notion that #1 each person’s goals are their goals and then #2 list a bunch of activities like carrying the groceries because that’s what life’s throwing at one. Should those things be the goals? If so what about point #1? If not, why mention them?)

Steve

your goals are the most important thing, but make sure they make sense.

A goal of snatching 200 reps with a 24kg bell in 10 minutes is fine. Doing it because you think that equals functional fitness is dumb.

A goal of deadlifting 500 is great, but doing it because you think that will give you the ability to tackle any obstacle, broke.

I say do what you want to do, but understand why you do it and call it what it is. Be certain your training model is helping you in your life.

If someone wants to be a big fat fuck who squats 800 but loses their breath tying their shoelaces that is cool, until they push their goals on to others with promises of functional fitness and all the other shit.
