Field Report 27 Oct 2010

by adam on October 27, 2010

Last night was epic headache, sleep was fucked. The wind storm that hit Minneapolis was really powerful, my house has been without power since yesterday morning. No heat had the crib at a toasty 50 degrees. I was feeling the associated effects

KB Snatch 16kg 128 reps in 4:45 one hand switch

Plate curl 25 lbs think disc, 84 reps in 7 minutes

Row, 32kg bell 140 reps in 5:45

body flow, falling practice, ground escape drills, hand speed drills for rest of workout.

Ellingson is bringing a bench with uprights tonight. It will be productive to add back in flat pressing to my program.

I wanted to have something profound to share today, but all I really think is “fuck it”

Nothing valuable to contribute, let’s try again tomorrow shall we.

Vulcan:

White spring, L: 5-5# 5×1/1,35 min, R: 7-7# 3×1/50 s.

I moved from notches 2-2 to 7-7 in under 3 weeks.

Thank you! Training is the most fun when gains are *guaranteed.*

28/10/10 – Performed a 15min block of KB Press, left-side overhead walk with KB and KB rows.
The left side tested WAY better on the OH Walk.
Dunno about PRs, my recordings in Google Docs made it hard/time-consuming to look, so I’m gonna judge 15-20min blocks only against themselves. Volume achieved without time restriction is not really a fair comparison.

I agree with your conclusion Piers
