David Horne’s World of Grip proudly presents the third leg of the international grip contest “Worlds Strongest Hands,” which will be held tomorrow at Movement Minneapolis, 2089 East Center Circle, Plymouth MN.
Worlds Strongest Hands is a 3 event contest using standardized equipment to test the overall strength of the hands. The events will be:
- Two Hand Pinch on the adjustable European pinch device with 4 attempts to lift to a 16″ standard.
- Reverse bending on the Horne Wrist Developer to test hand and wrist strength with 4 attempts for a 40 degree bend
- crush grip from a 20mm set with the Horne Vulcan gripper from a 20mm set position, 4 attempts for full end to end close.
- With the Vulcan and WD there are three springs and 21 levels of difficulty- 64 total settings to challenge the newest grip athlete to the worlds strongest men.
After the three WSH events there will be three additional events held locally:
- 2″ Vertical Bar Lift with the FBBC standard bar for a 2″ lift with left and right hand total, 4 attempts.
- Double overhand axle deadlift with the swager strength axle bar, 4 attempts for max lift.
- Farmers walk with those thick handled bells for best time @distance.
The contest weigh in begins at 10 AM, with the first event scheduled to start at 1030AM.
All scores will be entered in to the international ladder and the cumulative placement from all 4 legs.
We have had competitions from all back grounds come out, this is an excellent event to test out your interest in grip sport. I would like to welcome all comers to join me in my gym and enjoy the fun.
