A few weeks back I was on the phone talking to Ryan Pitts of www.Strongergrip.com and I mentioned I wanted a heavy kettebell for swings. He asked how heavy, I was thinking something in the range of 200+ pounds.
We got to talking about the idea, and he said he could make something better.
3 days later, Ryan sent me a text at 2 AM with a photo of of the device. Yes, it pays to have friends who never sleep.
The prototype arrived Monday. Dave and I immediately loaded it up and hit some sets with it.
After using this for each of my workouts this week, I am hard sold on it.
Swings are one of the best movements for cardio, hip drive, and grip. The primary issue is you will out grow your kettlebells fast if you stick with them. Like anything else, you can only add reps for so long before a strength movement shifts towards endurance or cardio.
I own a 56kg bell, and I can currently do sets of 50 with it. I needed the upgrade.
I do not know what the ceiling will be on how much weight I can throw around, but I am certain this tool will be the key to reaching it. Every muscle in my body is feeling it this week from swinging it. Most of my sets have been 15-20 reps with 210-260 this week. Moving 15,000+ pounds in 7 minutes at ballistic speed will make you strong.
The device is set to be open for sales at the end of the month. We are going to test drive a few minor modifications with it this next week. Ryan is coming up for Worlds Strongest Hands Leg 3 on Saturday so we will get plenty of time to play with the newer model. I will update my progress with this tool as I crank up the volume in my pursuit of a 3X + body weight pull this year.

That’s awesome!!!!
Oh God yes.
I’ve been drooling over the numbers in your tweets lately and figured it was a device like this. Ryan mentioned in an email recently that they had a “super cool new product coming soon” that I might be interested in. If he meant this, he ain’t bloody wrong, I tell you that!
Stronger Grip, I salute you! Can’t wait to get my own!
All of sudden I got an urge to get one for myself.
I watched the video and thought “whatever, Adam swung 277lbs”. Then I realized you did it with one hand. Awesome.
Ryan, I’m becoming a very big fan of you. You have the mad scientist mentality that I really enjoy.
AWESOME! I just emailed Ryan to buy one. Oh ya! Brilant! This will be another way for me to hammer my glute/hams/ and grip while deloading my upper spine a bit too.
Kettlebells are ok, but I find that when I turn my feet out too much it does not test well.
Rock on
