David Horne’s World of Grip is throwing the Worlds Strongest Hands international grip competition. This is a 4 leg contest featuring 10 venues in which you can test your strength against men and women from across the world.
The Worlds Strongest Hands 2010 will feature three contest events
- Reverse Bending on the Horne Wrist Developer, four attempts for a 40 degree bend. There are three levels of difficulty Gold, Orange, and White with each color having 21 levels of difficulty
- Two hand Pinch on the adjustable European pinch device. You will have four attempts for a single reps max effort pinch on a 16″ rising bar. The Europinch thickness is adjustable to account for all hand sizes
- Crush grip on the Horne Vulcan Gripper using a 20mm set position. The vulcan will have three options for difficulty- Gold, Orange and White with 21 levels of difficulty. four attempts are allowed.
After these three events the Minneapolis venue will continue with the following events
- 2″ Vertical bar lift. three attempts to lift bar 2″
- Double overhand axle deadlift, three attempts for complete rep (must stand all the way up and pause)
- Grip medley featuring 11 items.
The scoring system will be a reverse strongman system, like golf the lowest score wins. After the event scores will be sent to World of Grip and shall be stacked against the other 9 venues.
This location is The Movement Minneapolis located at 2089 East Center Circle south of highway 55, 3/4 mile east of I-494.
The contest will be begin at 10AM on 14 August 2010. All contests must be in the building no later than 0950.
The contest entry is 15 dollars for a single leg, or 37 dollars for entry to all 4 legs.
World of Grip has prizes for the winners, and a local prize will be awared to winners of each contest event.
Several people requested a hotel recommendation, this hotel is the Kelly Inn Best Western, it is located less than 1/2 mile from the contest location.

Adam, it is 4 attempts per event not 3, just thought I would point this out!
Personally I am VERY looking forward to this international version of what I did at the beginning of the year, should be good to compete against an even bigger set of people!
