David hit 475X2, than 510 X1, than 520X1…TSC is still 8 weeks outs, I predict a 540lbs pull at 180.
David Dellanave– 520lbs deadlift at 180lbs BW– +20lbs to max in 4 weeks…Yup

Wow David. Nice work. I knew it was coming but it’s still incredible to see. 900 in 2011:)
Thanks buddy.
Are you people paying attention yet?
Do you still think all these silly daily PRs are insignificant?
Do you still not recognize the significance of not getting injured?
Do you still listen to other people telling you what do?
How long is it going to take for YOU?
Most of the time, skipped around a bit through the Trex hunting post.
Negative.
Casts and slings were a good ice breaker with cute girls, but the injury free life comes with many other benefits.
Only for deeper insight and to gather more quality questions to test. (Ha, as a side note, one of the more experienced lifters I’ve come across that I showed the GM testing method got pretty worked up when I told him that’s why I didn’t need to follow a program he wanted to write for me).
The past week has been marked by +30lbs on my sumo deadlift leaving me at 345# @155# bw. Not sure how long it’s going to take to get to my goal of 400lb, but I’d ball park it in the 1.5 month range. (not half bad for a kid who had only really done various kettlebell exercises before the summer).
dave
that looked really easy so pretty dave is deadlifting o go daily and when it is what weight range do you work with that was dirty man sick
I have been doing a lot of doubles, triples etc in the 400+ range. This week prior to this pull I did 315 for 9 and 10 standing on 2 45′s, then 365,385,405 for doubles standing on plates again. It’s all in my training log on my site too.
damn that looked nice. you will hit 540 no problem.
OUTSTANDING! And with a smile too – can’t beat that. Nice!
…one damn sexy t-shirt too btw.
Excellent work! 180 lbs BW, too! What’s your current bodyfat %?
A bunch of people still say that GM doesn’t work. Ridiculous!
7.2%
That’s very low. Good job!
Bad freakin arse. 3x BW falls soon, huh? Awesome.
It looks pretty easy. I’d guess you could do even more.
Congrats.
For the third time, friggin badass awesomeness.
OH LOOK HE’S WEARING VIBRAM FFs — 42 thumbs up
Mat
Dave, Very Impressive
I thought I was cool pulling 520 @ 215lbs. Now I feel weak and inadequate LOL.
3x BW is right around the corner which would put you in a very elite class of people. Keep up the good work, unfortunately I have to pull 645lbs. to get to 3xBW.
There is nothing weak about pulling 520@215. Keep going and you will get 3x just as well.
Fantastic David!
Very impressive and inspiring man. Those PRs really add up.
Nice and smooth. By the way: “It’s all in my training log on my site too.” – can you let me have the link to get there? Thanks.
Congratulations, David! It looked as if you had a bit left in you too!
Badass, dude. This looks fun.
I’m curious: how old are you now, and where were you with dead lifts at 18?
26. I didn’t pick up my first Oly bar until 3 years ago. My max deadlift was 375 one year ago.
Excellent work, Dave. I am impressed.
DDN,
Out of sight mate. Truly something. When 600 comes around, that midnight stealth waterborne op will be our celebracion!
YES
First, nice pull Dave.
Second, for those of you who may be new here and might think these results are atypical, you are dead wrong. I was at grip n’ rip with Dave last February. I weigh 180 as Dave does. I started deadlifting seriously about 8 months ago and could barely pull 300. Now my sights are set on 500 and I will pull it before 2011. I tried other “programs” in the past with deads, and quit because nothing helped me raise the weight on the bar. I have used GM religiously since Feb. and have seen increases in weight percentages like this in all my lifts. Quit fucking around, wasting money on all the gimmicks out there (I’ve bought some too!) and start something that works. Adam told me I would never buy another piece of training literature or program again. I called bullshit but can now honestly say I’m done with all of it. All I need is plates, a bar, KBs, and beef (and maybe Slayer).
It’s amazing how much progress you can make when you are always moving forward.
Rule #1– Never doubt me when I talk training. Everything else is a toss up
I put the following post up – hope you don’t mind the pic of you and your sexy T-shirt Dave.

Very impressive lift!
