I go through phases of enjoying old school metal / heavy rock to rocking out to thrash or nu metal shit! Metal has so many awesome sub-genres its just epic!
Lately I’ve been enjoying all the late 90′s / early 2000′s nu metal that I rocked out to when I was a teenager in dirty rock clubs

I got to go to Mayhem Fest earlier this month and see three of my all time favorites Hatebreed, Lamb of God, and Rob Zombie(not the best sound, but puts on the best show). Five Finger Death Punch was sick too, unfortunately Korn headlined and was shown up by almost every other band. It was sad to see because I was a big Korn fan about 10 yrs ago.
Korn are pretty crap these days, every time I have seen them they are worse than the time before!
Best metal bands I’ve seen in the last 12 months are Static-X and Fear Factory, both amazing live
