Hey Adam,
Wanted to send you a quick update about my training using your ideas and information you spoke about over the phone. Yesterday was the 5th day in a row that I went rock climbing and each day I have been climbing hard, but each day the climbing has been slightly different based on what tested well for me. I’ve gotten pretty crazy with the number of the things that I test when it comes to climbing and am pretty intense at only focusing on the best things for me. Some of climbing partners think I’m crazy
First for a rock climber to climb well and effectively on the 5th day of climbing is almost unheard of. In fact this is how most climbers end up getting hurt. Second before we talked I had just taken about a year off of climbing and was not excited to start back up again because all my climbing/finger strength had been depleted. Well after a few months I am back to climbing the same difficulty boulder problems as I was before I took my break, which is incredible. Also, I was easily climbing routes yesterday that I couldn’t even come close to doing a few weeks ago and the funny thing is I haven’t even tried them since. One in particular I hadn’t tried in about 2 weeks and was failing miserably at it then so I moved on b/c it was testing well. Yesterday the moves tested well and I did it my second try. Pretty incredible
So not only am I back to the same level I am getting stronger and stronger as each week goes by.
I’ll keep you posted on any other updates and thanks for all you do.

That’s just wonderful.
Question for Ryan: How do you test your rock climbing? I’ve actually started indoor climbing again a couple of weeks ago, and of course I’ve been trying to think of a way to apply testing to that discipline so I can speed up my improvement, but I couldn’t figure it out. It seems to me that each climbing trail has so many different movements, but they all require these precise moves to be done to get through, so… Yeah, I just don’t get it.
Could you give more details on how you proceed? Thanks!
Mathieu
its all movement…
Was this Ryan Pitts?
Different Ryan. Pitts is not a rock climber Tomas.
I see.
Very cool, man.
