Go After Your Goals

by adam on April 10, 2010

2" Vertical Bar Lift

The above photo is yours truly pulling 325lbs on the 2″ Vertical Bar lift.

I was specifically told I would fail to break 310 because a top grip athlete could only pull “X” amount on it, which some how was supposed to mean my limits were defined by his limits…

I will show the world a 350lbs 2″ vertical bar pull in 2010.

I can do this, so I shall.

GO AFTER YOUR GOALS

Go after them because you want to, no other reason is required

  • It does not matter who approves
  • It does not matter who disapproves
  • It does not matter WHY you do it
  • It does not matter how long it takes

All that matters is you like “it” and you want to accomplish “it”

One day you will die.

In to the box you go and bam you are worm food.

You will never be again.

The only thing that will be left of you is what you did or did not do on this planet. There is no need for you to justify why you want to do something, there is only action and outcomes.

Settings yourself realistic goals is always a good thing, once you reach that goal then you can move the goal posts and keep pushing forward!

…. ain´t that the truth…. no doubt 350 will go down Adam…

adam you will pull 350 easy. The have made huge jumps in poundage in one weeks time, once it tests well to pulls are easy. This week i jumped from 238 to 260, and i haven’t trained it for a couple of weeks. My goal is 300, i will get it just like you will.

Mike, the competition bells that Adam and I both use come from perform better. Good bells, and good price.

thankyou very much josh

josh, those compettion bells do they ding up, being that they are not cast iron? They really save your hands huh. I was considering buying a pair of 53′s and 70′s . I might wait alittle my long cycle hasn’t tested to great. I think i still lack a little thorax extension, so it forces me to be a little tight at the top position.

That’s insane, Adam! You’ll surely pull over 350 this year!

For someone who “dislikes philsophers” you sure sound like one! Of course you are a man of action as well. I dig it.
