Passive Acceptance Is Over

by josh on February 16, 2010

Hey gang, just something to think about today:

Passive acceptance of the teacher’s wisdom is easy to most boys and girls. It involves no effort of independent thought, and seems rational because the teacher knows more than his pupils; it is moreover the way to win the favor of the teacher unless he is a very exceptional man. Yet the habit of passive acceptance is a disastrous one in later life

Bertrand Russell

By the time today ends, you need to be more than you were yesterday. Only you can figure out how to do it.

Let’s go.

Josh

Amen, Josh.

Unfortunately, most education is about what to think
not
how to think.

Hopefully we’re changing that.

Thanks… just finished watching the DVD

Its a lot of information in a short period of time… some people seem disappointed but I’m unsure why the presentation isn’t the best but it contains a ton of info…. It just needs to be derived through multiple viewing or so it seems.

Overall, DVD is a good place to start… but i’m left with a few questions programming wise

Specifically I want mass gain so Deadlifts, Bench Press, Chin ups, And Broad Jumps will be the center of my program….

I’m guessing the exercises are ever changing based on what your body wants and I understand that but shouldn’t there be some type of template?

Monday-Upper Body
Tuesday-Lower Body
Wednesday- Grip & or Rest
Thursday- Upper Body
Friday- Lower Body
Saturday- Grip & or Rest
Sunday- Rest/Recovery day

Does this make sense? My goal is Speed, Size, and Strength no day has a defined quality to work on just that some generalization of what will be worked that day… then the qualities will be worked based on testing

They are disappointed because Frankie just showed them what they “knew” doesn’t mean as much as they thought. I am so entertained to hear people say Perpetual Progress is something knew about prior to this DVD. Really? Than why dont you set PRs everyworkout? Christian, Frankie will be sending out an article i wrote today answering this question- it will help you much. After you read it i want you to email me and i will point in the direction

Dude, if you’re 16 you’re gonna be lightyears ahead of everyone!! I wish to God I knew this stuff in my 20′s. Pretty sure I’d be a mutant by now if I did! Do it up, kid…
