This Programming with biofeedback part IV, testing grippers. More importantly, here are some video responses i have gotten back.
This is Jason taking action. He is active in the grip community and has accomplished some impressive personal records this fall such as closing the #3 Captain of Crush. In other words, he knows a thing or two about training. Relevant to my post, he is a man of Action.
Here is a man who posts on youtube as IFORWMS. He is testing his grippers. As you can see, grippers are not testing well for him. Remember, you do not test just to test- You test to find the specific movement which improves the BEST related to a goal. I will remind you go back and watch the other programming videos. Testing, but not following the test is like not testing. Well done to IFORWMS for taking action.

This is a man from the UK who posts as Xafier. He is testing some grip events. What i see is perhaps none of these drills should have been used except the reverse bend. In time Xafier, you will learn the WHY. I can tell you right now, but you are still sceptic to this method. You must cross your own bridge. When you meet me on the other side, you will be the one to answer questions, not ask.
Facta Non Verba. Deeds, not words. I released the first programming with biofeedback video in November. Many of you watched it, asked a bunch of questions. And that was it. You did nothing with the new information. Maybe you thought about it, but the thought did not provoke new action, or new behavior. Some of you pride yourselves on being educated, yet you have not applied the scientific process to something you hold dear- Your own body and your results.
Facta Non Verba, Lets see your deeds. I will continue to lead you, from the front. As always achieving 10 times more then i talk about, being the first to act. I need you to pick up the slack. It is difficult to consider someone a serious trainee worth addressing when they fail to take action. Why are there so many questions on the release date of he DVD? If you have failed to implement this simple step, you will really be lost with the product. The product is not “Do this” there are plenty of sources who are happy to tell you what to do. The product will demand you think forv yourself and take action.
If you’re not willing to find your own answers, you will be left following those who do not allow you ask questions.
Who are you following? I say follow yourself, and i have provided the most important tool from the set.

Adam- Your advice is almost zen-like. You are right. A lot of people mistake the map for the territory. I have applied what you've been teaching for only a few sessions, but I can tell already what it's going to do for my training. I have been blindly following other peoples' programs and thus stunted my progress. I've been at the right opera, but I had the wrong libretto… until now!

Some people will tell you what to do, because they were told what to do.
Some people will tell you what to do because they think they are helping you.
Some people will tell you what to do because they feel important to tell others what to do…
In the end, i feel it is not a responsible thing to tell someone what to do. I will provide the tools, the tactics, and the procedures. It is each man or womans choice and responsibility to decide what they will do/not to.
In good faith, I cannot tell anyone they MUST do this, or DONT do that. To do that is to say i am more qualified to lead you than you are to lead yourself.
No one can coach me. I have surpassed ALL coaches in my field. I did this by leading myself. It is my thought process anyone can lead themself to excellence if they take their own path.
Coaches such as myself will take on a new role- the role of the advisor. If someone wants a person to boss them around, i will send them to a military recruiter. if they want to become the very best, i stand ready to advise, not direct.
