This months blocks of training will feature more partials. With my shoulders feeling healthy and strong, it is time to return to heavier weights. My best ever rack press was from a higher set bar in the mid 600′s, my best rack pull was from a higher bar in 1200′s
With my current rack set up, i have two options for rack pulls, one high bar and one low bar. From the high bar i think i can top out in the 1500′s this year. From the low bar 1000+ is completely possible.
Pavel’s assessment of my deadlifting situation was “Don’t do it, you have a long spine. Deadlifting off the floor is going to be very hard on you” This is agreeable to me based on how hard of a time i have arching at the bottom of a bar. 575 has stood at a tough mark for some time with a BB. With a trap bar i get a stronger pull, but than again I consider a trap bar DL a different beast to the BB deadlift.
So my focus will fall on partials for a while. Once i get arching again i will play with my deadlift some more. A lot of work to do-many blocks to get it done.

Solid work, Adam! I’ve use partial lifts to supplement my lifting on a semi-regular basis. In my opinion, partials are one of the best ways to address your sticking points. It’s funny you posted this, as I just recently started re-incorporating them into my routine for my squat, bench, and deadlift. I don’t know if you have the set-up to use bands to de-load the bar for the squat and deadlift; but, that is also a great training aid I’ve been using recently to improve my strength at lockout. Keep at it, bro!
nice work Adam . Looks easy.
