Thats about how my mind is right now wraping and re-wrapping all the information i picked up this weekend working with Brad.
Ever think you know something, and than you find out your only on the tip of the iceberg, and there is SO MUCH more to go?
I am making a lot of adjustments to my training based upon the Z information i have been provided by Brad Nelson and Mike Nelson (no relation). Being in a round table discussion for 4 hours with two of the best Z health experts on the planet will do that to you.
Everything you think you know about tension is off. I will not label it “wrong” but it is definately inaccurate because your missing some major elements. Primarily your missing the “relax” portion of the “tension/relaxation” coin. I know you are missing this, because i was missing it. It is not like a “Oh, ok” moment. “Oh,ok” is what people get when they stop banging up their arms with crappy cleans. This is being struck by a dumptruck st 55MPH, and all you can do is wake up and say “did that just happen?”"If it did just happen, what will i do about it?”
Everything is getting a scrub this week. Lots of stuff is getting a major shake up.
“How is it, that after doing a TSC and a 20 minute strongman demonstration, Turning my wrist in four directions allows me to slam a #3?” After all that work? Usually i am kind of tired…this is deep……

adam great stuff i will be watching you closely. Adam thursday night 8:30 swagger strength interview, can’t wait, anything you would like me to know before i sit down and get my questions ready about how this interview, is going to play out and how much time you will be answering questions. thanks again adam

Welcome to my world brother! It’s a blizzard. Just think, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Brad for over two years. Every time I meet with him, I am in the state you are in right now.
Your brain and intuition will make sense of it. You will make adjustments and your CNS will thank you. Then you’ll want to get more, but can’t because you live too far away. It sucks!
Just today I posted on my blog a cry to Brad to help me. Something is out of whack and I can’t watch myself move to know where it is. It is so frustrating.
Yet, the times when I get to train with Brad, and I bring home another nugget of wisdom about my movements, I go to work making the most of it. I am as far as I am on my strength journey because of these nuggets. It’s amazing how people come into your life when you need them.
Soak in the white, Adam. Soak it in.

It is APPROPRIATE tension, not max tension for the sake of tension.
Your body understands this already–I watched you rip a huge phone book like you were bored! Now just apply that to all your lifts.

The term that I use is “minimal effective tension.”
It is not popular…but it is accurate.
