Disappointed with TSC turn out this year!

by adam on April 6, 2009

Last time Brad held a TSC over 20 people showed up. This time, not even half of that showed up. From talking to other gym owners i am seeing a trend–Apparently the recession has hit home harder than i thought. “Now people cannot even afford to TRY.” Or something like that…

Thats all i will say about this topic, now back to the grind stone.

Now that you mention it, I’m not surprised people said No when they have other pressing concerns.

We had our own grass-roots effort and ended up with 9 competitors at the gym. I’m not sure I want to “help” next year; I’m thinking competing might be easier.

How is Minot looking these days? Last time we talked, you were driving in tunnels of snow.

we are unthawing! victory finally thanks to the sun. Prehaps in a week i will see grass again.

I have nothing positive to say about peoples excuses this time. There are like 50 RKCs in twin cities, only 19 total competitors.

Everyone is bitching excuses why they can’t go elite–all boils down to ego. I did elite this time, my first TSC. I didnt train for any events, and placed last in both snatches and pull ups. I dont care. I showed up and did it. I drove 9 hours to get there as well, not 15 minutes.

Next time you guys all need to come out to KE!!

Brad’s place was fantastic in spring ’08. I remember it well. We’ve got our own grass-roots effort going on at the gym now. Combating ego and focusing on personal goals is definitely an important part of it.

There was one RKC out of 9 competitors. Fawn is an RKC, but she orchestrated it and did not compete. I helped, but I’m nothing.

I’ll see you at the RKC this summer if you’re still going.
