Hi Adam,
It sure looks like you are having less grip issues with the left and, if you’re like me at all, it’s a dexterity thing. I’m a lefty too and the right gives out much quicker. Not because the right is weaker (I’m a lot stronger in most things grip related w. the right), but because it is “dexterity challenged”.
On the right, I tend to catch the bell with the handle more horizontal. As the reps add up, fatigue accumulates quicker on the right because of the poor handle position and once the grip starts to suffer, everything else, like timing of the catch, starts to erode as well.
I don’t really have a solution other than attentive practice. If you or someone else has ideas I’d love to hear them. My right has gotten better at spearing the bell, but it’s still an issue.
I’d be curious to hear what others think on it.
