I hope other knowledgeable people like Eric, Catherine etc. will comment, but here are my thoughts. I’m a GS novice so take it for however much you think it’s worth.
Looks great. Sometimes the handle is lying flat(ter) in the palm however and that will start to wear on your grip.
It doesn’t look like the bell is rocking you at all at completion of the rep, but sometimes it looks like there’s some extra momentum carrying the bell and twisting you at the top. Perfectly timing the spearing of the bell and rack will eliminate that.
I think that looking at the bell and following it throughout the movement is adding more torsion than you want.
Keeping that upper arm against the body throughout the back swing and as you drive through the hips will get rid of some leakages.
Looks like you’re off to a good start Adam. I’ll be interested to see where this leads. The new place looks bad ass.
Adam,
Since you’re only asking about snatch form, that’s all I’ll talk about.
I must say, your snatch looks pretty fucking awesome. Sincerely. There are only a couple of things that I can comment on.
-I can’t hear you breath. As the bell is coming down, you should exhale forcefully. When the bell is coming up, you should inhale forcefully.
-At the bottom of the snatch, the bell looks a little wobbly. It should remain straight and under control.
-The handle looks like it’s going in the right position on most reps. I’d like to share this video from Scott Sonnon that explains this point http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ib4WZVqlnXo
-Following the bell is a good thing, but I would avoid looking up at it when it’s in the overhead position.
E-mail me at ericstonge1@gmail.com if you want to talk some more.

Does the entire hand go numb? Does just the pinky and ring finger side or the thumb, index finger side go numb. This may provide some clues as to which nerves are being compressed. Do you have any problems with wrist pain or hand numbness at night while sleeping? Do you ever have problems with hand numbness when doing Hardstyle snatches? If not how many reps do you tend to do before switching hands?
Matt
I actually think it looks quite good and will echo Boris’ comments on the twisting.
When the bell swings back between your legs, you want the hand at about a 45 degree angle. That is, you don’t want your thumb pointed straight back, but you don’t want your hand “horizontal”. Make sense?
This is important because the angle of the bell at the bottom will affect the angle of the lockout. You don’t want that bell twisting or rotating at lockout. You want it stopped on a dime in an optimal position so that you can rest a few seconds comfortably, that is the bell is resting on the hip of the hand and the weight is aligned over your hip or knee (weight should be supported by the skeletal system).
Driving through the hips is one way to put it, but timing the Hip Pop is another. We swing the bell so that we can take advantage of the momentum. To take full advantage, you must time the hip pop. If you do it too early, you pull with your hands.
Aside from that..It is time under the bells. I think it looks good.
