13 Feb 09 Finger lifting, Card Tearing, and some wierd pressing

by adam on February 13, 2009

I like this hang clean BUP.

Finger lifting is improving. Greg told me to try out a different set up so i am buying the stuff for it this weekend.

I got through 1 3/4 stacked decks of bikes tonight, but it was incredibly painful. I am still holding back from concern of dislocating my right thumb…

Adam, you seem to be the guy to ask, which lev. block should I get from Ryan? 1 1/2″ or 2″? I’m looking for a stronger thumb and would like to improve my plate curl. Thanks for your help.

Carl

Two questions- What size hands do you have, and what kind of plates do you work with most?

I have 7 7/8 sized hands and the 1.5″ block fits perfectly. If your over 8″ than go 2″. If your under that then it depends on if you like training wider or thinner pinching.

I like it ! The box will look good at your show. Those finger lifts are sick .

Thanks for the help Adam. My hands are barely over 7″ and the plates I work with are CAP Olympic plates(none measure over 1.5″) so I went with the 1.5″ block. Thanks again for the help and keep killin’ those BUP’s.

Hey Adam can you advice me on kettlebell choice?
Im about to order a set of 16,24 and 32kg of Adler kettlebells because they got good deal on ebay but I know you fan of Lifeline kettlebells. so what you would get cheaper Adlers or little more expansive Lifeline.
And if you used Adler kettlebells what you think about them?
Big Thanks.

90% of my bells are dragondoor, i own one lifeline bell. I have lifed adler bells in the past and did not care for them. If money is the issue than keep saving until you can get a quality bell.
