How’s the weather up there? I expect it sucks. Every single year growing up, it was a shock to me that North Dakota got so cold. After the initial shock every year, it was a serious endurance event to see the next spring.

The God of North Dakota is an Old Testament God with no love and lots of punishment. “Suck it up” was a lesson well-learned by just getting to school on time. After that, who gives a damn? Getting back home was the only thing that mattered.
