Dieting, it works.

by adam on August 23, 2008

I have been cutting my diet down for 9 weeks now. In April I was up to 240lbs. i was really strong, but i was not happy with the thought of getting stuck with an airbag gut or having to replace all the clothes.

No worries- just drop all the crappy food, soda, fried food. We all know what is “bad” for us right?

So i cut down to fresh fruits, stupid veggies ( i hate them, but i eat them) a ton of yogurt every day, protein shakes, lean beef and chicken. I make sure i go to bed hungry every day. Eat as soon as i rise. How is is working?

I have dropped 20lbs since June. I am stronger now than i was than, with big Deadlifts going up weekly, and my grip strength is better and better.

All my clothes fit better again. Saves me some money.

So taking a page from my friend Dave Whitley, i will post up pics until i hit the target weight i want. Let all the nameless faceless internet tough guys pick on the photos as inspiration.

If i had a tan this photo would be a lot more telling on how much leaner i have become, I have to the whitest dude up here.

Way to go! Stick with it! Do you supplement your strength training with conditioning? Still going to compete in the TSC coming up? Keep up the good work, you’re doing some sick stuff!

Out-fatting your jeans is never a good sign. I’m facing that same dilemma myself, but refuse to buy new clothes. Gotta leave a few inches for an IWB holster.

Thoreau said, “beware of endeavors that require new clothes.” Damn right. Anything we can do, we can do without new clothes.
