Amaturs practice until they succeed, Professionals practice until they can not fail…

A great quote-One to live by for a strength athlete. In this Wheel barrel there are over 100 phone books which have ripped in the last 2 weeks.

I will continue to rip these books until i can take down a Houston or NYC Phone book wrapped twice over with duct tape.

Are you getting what you want out of your training? If not, i will bet it is because you are not applying yourself. David Tate, the famous powerlifting athlete and coach has said it takes more than 10,000 movements to make it a successful pattern. Have you really tried 10,000 times yet?

Do you have to buy all those phone books or just collect them. I can keep an eye out for a really thick phone book if you want. How many pages would it need to be?

Adam, what do you do with all the crap you’ve torn and bent? Is there a graveyard for shit you’ve destroyed with your hands?

Adam April 17, 2008 at 7:04 am

Aaron

I recycle all my torn books every three weeks and i keep a box of all my steel. When i buy new bars i swap the bent stuff, they give me a little bit of money for it in exchange.

Love the quote and great progress!

I had visions of neighborhood kids rummaging through your recycling and forming myths about you. “Dude, is this a horseshoe? Whoa!”

When you come outside to check your mail, they run away because they assume you are a monster who wants to bend or rip them in half.
