The Diesel Products and why they are on this page

I think i need to explain this for some people

There are literally Thousands of books on strength and conditioning in the USA. A trip to any Barns and Noble, or a flip through Amazon.com will confirm that.

I will lump 98% of these books are the same tired out rehashed advice you can find in any issue of the latest news stand magazine. You can replace the authors at will, cut and paste chapters, and the books still all read the same

So what about that 2%? “Dinosaur training” “Enter the Kettlebell” “Naked Warrior” “Super Training” “Super Squats”, and several more timeless classics. Everyone one of those books should be in your home if you are a serious strength athlete.

Plain and simple- Jedd Johnsons “Bending Ebook”, and Jim Smiths “Combat Core” are the first breaths of fresh air in a VERY LONG TIME. Jedd was the very first person to compose a complete volume on short bending. There are several lesser books right now, but no one is even 30% of what the Bending Ebook is. I have been telling people this for nearly two years. I was one of the first customers to buy it. Any question on my results? How about a 6″ Edgin? Think i just woke up and knew how to build to that? I dont think so.

Jim Smith’s Combat core is the sum of over one years hard work. Consider it a massive step forward of Chaos Training-Which is years ahead of everyone else. This is not an AB books. It is not a sit up or crunch program. It is a program that any self respecting Power Lifter, Strongman, Boxer, Wrestler, track athlete, Kettlebell lifter, and even body builder needs to know about. It is comprehensive. There is nothing left to the wind with this.

Adam, as a result of your recommendation, I did go ahead and checkout the Combat Core promotion. Seems like a great product but I’m not clear on how simple KB guy like myself (swings, snatches, front squats, C&Js) could benefit from it. Would it serve as a reference for future non-KB stuff?

My thoughts are this
- #1, you may want a change in pace, but still maintain your hardstyle edge.
-#2 you may want a variety away from the daily dozen KB drills.
-#3 you may identify a need for a specific training effort for your body-KBs while extremely effective, are not a complete one stop shop
-#4 prehaps it will not be you who really needs it, but maybe a son/friend/coworker and you will have the knowledge to give them the best possible core drills
-#5 maybe you would just like to see what world class coaches are prescibing these days

And maybe, your a true minimalist who really has no desire to use CC, than it is not for you.

BUT, have you checked out the DC kb books? They are really great, and provide a way to cross the bridge of standard KB drills to some really unique and effective ones, i promise there is a LOT you have never seen nor heard of.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to your own needs for your personal program.

Please let me know if you would like to know anything else

Another good post Adam.

Listen, I am friends with Smitty, and that is no secret, but I also speak my mind and I have no trouble saying a product sucks when it does. This has gotten me into hot water with people many times. Some have accepted it as how I am, and some have never spoke to me again. Such is life.

Everything Smitty writes is LEGIT and the real deal! Bottom line, Smitty knows his shit and everyone could learn a thing or 2 from him. No, I am not saying that because I am his friend. No, I dont get a red cent from CC (even though you get a sweet ass deadlift manual that I wrote with it). I say that because it is true. I own Building the Ultimate MMA athlete. I own Combat Core. Both are great resources and both are worth their weight in gold. Period. Every time I am banged up I call Smitty, and he always points me in the right direction and gets me back under the bar with no time off.

People want to whine and bitch about the price? Think of it this way: these books take years to do. Smitty sacrifices his own training, sleep, family time, vacations, etc. to get these books done and out to the masses. He doesnt do it to get rich, he does it because he likes helping people. When a surgeon saves your life, do you whine and bitch that it cost $50,000??? Or, do you thank God that your ass is still breathing? My last pacemaker surgery was $38,000. Guess what, I wouldnt care if it was $200,000, it works, and I can keep doing what I love, so it has no price.

Bottom line, buy it or don’t. Plenty of other books to read out there. However, going on a discussion board and ripping smitty apart before you even read the damn thing is gutless.

Keep it up Adam! Loving this blog-

Rick

Did some one do that? Funny, these forums turn some people in to He-men, who will say anything about anyone. Anyone who can read one of Smitty’s books and not see whats there is a fool. The man has talent. He gets things that no one else catches.

I am still digging through my copy which i got a few days ago, and i am no where close to 50% of all the info it has–Great booklet and video BTW
