Rule #1- This is open to any and all people. My only request is this- If you start it, i expect you to finish it. Insane goals produce hardened people. I will promise anyone who can complete this goal (and ANY one can if they apply themselves) you will be a lot closer to achieving your personal life goals.
Rule #2 One arm snatches are the name of the game. I do not care what style you chose to employ. I think by the end of this you will have your own perfect style, if 50,000 reps does not teach you correctly, time to put away the kettlebells and take up sewing.
Rule #3. Scoring reps. David Whitley brought up a great point- He wants to use a heavier bell. He is a titan with these things, so i understand. So here is scoring for mens snatch
-16kg 1/2 point.
-24kg 1 point
-32kg 2 points
-40kg 3 points
-48kg 5 points
For the ladies
-8kg 1/2 point
-12kg 1 point
-16kg 2 points
-20kg 3 points
—If there is a lady who would like to use the 24kg, i will award 5 points, and i would like to see a YOutube video, because that is crazy strong.
So with this scoring system- I should call this the race to 50,000 points.
Scores are posted daily on Road Less Travelled. I will post a thread with my score (please dont laugh at me) add your score to the comments block. You do not have to say what you did each day-just a rolling tally of points.
Rule #4 There is no whining, crying, complaining, name calling, bad mouthing, or cheating in this.
Rule #5 I do not expect videos of any workouts, UNLESS someone posts something which is clearly a lie, or a world class display. If some one tells me they did 4,000 snatches in one day- I will expect some proof.
Rule #6 this is fun, so have fun.
Cat Imes told me it would take her at least 38 weeks to do this at her pace 1300-1500 a week. I can not do that many, so i think this will take me a Year.
Winner of the contest will be decleared “Baddest Ass person i ever knew” and i shall tell my great grand children your epic tale. Additionally they are several prizes, none of which as cool as that (IMO)
Come one, Come ALL.
