Here is the game folks
Every day i will post an entry here on this blog for snatch numbers. All you have to do is leave a comment with your total numbers so far.
50,000 snatches with a 53 equals 2,650,000lbs moved over head. If you dont lose weight, gain muscle, gain size, get some lungs, build a heart, back and grip from this-than you really are doing something wrong
I have no idea how long this will go for- I think it will take me at least 8 months to a year to get that many reps. I will get them all too, every last one of them.
But i dont want to go alone, this is too good not to share, so i am calling out all the hardmen and women to join my crew.
Rules are simple- snatch a 53lbs kettlebell (26lbs for females) from floor or backswing to overhead-no jerking or pressing. Post your numbers here, or on gripboard or dragondoor. this is all by your word, no videos are expected.
There is a prize too.
I will start the count. Today i got a measly 60 reps after some juggling and pressing.

Very interesting idea, I like it. I will start as soon as I will recover from flue (so not today unfortunately
.
Good luck with this. In training for Vegas and Hamburg, I’m doing roughly 1300+ a week with the 16kg(6 days a week X 220+ per set). I’m doing about that many Jerks with the 16kg. Even at that volume, it would take me 38 weeks.

Wow
really great to see you dropping in Cat. It is a pleasure to have the best in the world stopping by to see what madness i am cooking up.
I figure this will take me a year or more. I can not snatch every day because i need to continue on my grip feats. Snatching more than 500 reps in one day may break me down too far at first.
I think the only people who could do this any faster than 8 months would be Marty F. Ken B. or You. Prehaps more, but i am not so current on the best GS guys beside the very top people who i see in headlines.
I know this- something like this will only make me better. there is no down side to this goal.
Well, Marty and Ken use the 32kg. I think it would take them a year with that weight or longer even with your points system
Snatching every day is hard. I don’t recommend it necessarily for anyone not training for a competition.
As far as I know, none of us do more than 230 reps per day and we only do one set (because it is hard on the hands). I would venture to say I do the most because I’ve been doing it longer or I get to use a relatively light bell (16kg as opposed to the 32kg the men use).
I just throw that out there as a frame of reference. That is a boatload of snatches. Honestly, I don’t know that I could do it in a year unless I counted some of the super high rep stuff I’ve done with the 12kg. In June, I’ll be switching to the 20kg and my volumes will drop.
I’ll check in from time to time, and give you my total.
Good luck Adam!

This is an awesome undertaking,I Started last night working with a 24Kg bell. I completed 80 snatches, only 49,920 to go!
