I wanted a poll of what people believed was the most impressive strength feat from the following events
- Andy Boltens 1003lbs Deadlift set in legit conditions
- Kaz clean and pressing the Inch
- Dennis Rogers holding back two USAF T-34 aircraft from taking off
- Pat “Human Vise” Poviliatis bending the king of all bastards
The results came to being- Andy, Dennis, Pat, Kaz
One thing i will add, each feat is world class, and these men where the first to do each one respectively.
When Kaz cleaned and pressed the inch, it was a different time than today. Now adays there are around 250 men in the world who have lifted the inch, and maybe 10 of them can clean and press it. When Kaz did it, it was considered “Unliftable” because no one had broke it off the ground in years.
Andy’s DL may or may not be the first time a human has pulled over a grand off the floor, but he was the first one to do it at a meet, in front of the world. Dikuls massive DL is the subject of a lot of debate-was it legit? I will not cast my 2 cents, i have a lot of respect for Dikul and he is one of a kind in his own right.
When Dennis held back those planes, you have to understand that was full throttle, Military training aircraft. Not a farmers crop duster, and not at half speed like some the folks who set supposed Guiness records do. To my knowledge, no one has bested what Dennis acomplished that day.
Pat was the first man to bend the King of all Bastard 3/8″X7″ bar. Since than, there are only a few others who have done it-Gary “Gazza” Hunt and Aaron Corcorran.
All of these are Elite displays of strength, a testiment both the power of the Human mind and spirit, and a mark in history of what kind of men have lived in this day and age
thanks for voting,
Adam
