by adam on February 19, 2008

Today i was invited to be a guest speaker for the Minot’s Lions Club. If you do not know what the Lions Club is, they do a ton of community and international service around the world with a focus on eye sight. A truly great crowd to be around.

I warmed up with a SCF #2, that a DCH1 both hearted.
Snapped a Wrench, 5/8 open ended pro series
Scrolled a Pretzel from a 1/2 HRS 4 ft bar
bent a fish behind my neck with a 1/2 HRS 23 inch bar
bent two 60D nails “Helsep” style at arms length
vertical card tear with the deck ducted taped twice
finished by driving a 20D through a board. I didnt bring a ballon, but i will make sure i do next time.

Being my first show, i learned some practical “do’s” and “don’ts” next time will be better.

what did you speak about adam?

i do a lot of public speaking for kids, mostly at risk, and always love hearing about others’ speaking opportunities. great way for you to create better value for your future if you’re dealing with clients.

great job.

Mark

more than anything else i want to show people what you can do when you set your mind to something. As i continue to walk towards world class feats, i want to continue to tell people i was once just some guy with average strength. I was not born like this-i worked for it. In the same vein, we can raise a million dollars for cancer research, we can lose the weight we need to, lower our blood pressure or get that job we really want. It all starts with the mind.
